Julian Webb set up Employment Resources in 2003 and is our principal consultant.

He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1982 and was in private practice for over 20 years. His client base consisted of businesses of all sizes as well as employees, but having seen how much aggravation and cost resulted from easily preventable disputes, he retired as a practising Solicitor resolving to provide prevention rather than cure.

Since 2003, Julian has successfully assisted hundreds of small businesses with a wide variety of practical problems. Some may be considered mundane or straight forward such as improving timekeeping and attendance. Others have been more complex or serious including dismissals for workplace assaults and allegations of discrimination. All were potential Employment Tribunal cases but with practical advice and support, employers were reassured that the law would be complied with and the issues resolved effectively.

For 14 years Julian was a part-time University Lecturer in Employment Law, and is therefore used to ensuring he is thoroughly versed in recent developments and able to ensure that his clients are always fully informed of significant and relevant changes to the way they manage their staff. He was the co-author of the Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Professional Practice (Employment Law Advice) devised and written for Acas, who are the leading employment law related organisation in the country.
